If you’ve had your ear to the ground, you would already know that F1 2017 will be coming with a number of ‘classic’ F1 vehicles included. Today, the latest one has been revealed.
Codemasters and Koch Media have today confirmed that the 2010 Red Bull Racing RB6 will be playable in F1 2017. Joining the likes of the 1988 McLaren MP4/4, the 1992 Williams FW14B and the 2002 Ferrari F2002, the RB6 will no doubt appeal to those hardcore F1 fans who are looking to rekindle memories of when Seb Vettel and Mark Webber were taking down all opponents, with nine wins, fifteen pole positions and six fastest laps.
Christian Horner, Team Principal, Red Bull Racing said: “The RB6 is our first Championship winning car, and as such is very special to us. 2010 was a dream year for Red Bull Racing, to achieve our ambition and to do so in such a compelling and dominant fashion was a fitting testament to the car, the drivers and commitment of the team. We are delighted the RB6 is included in the new F1 game as a classic car, it’s certainly a classic to us and I’m sure gamers will love driving it and trying to recreate those golden moments on track.”
With the release of F1 2017 on Xbox One, PS4 and PC not due until August 25th 2017, there is plenty of time for us to get building the hype behind F1, and that is where the latest trailer comes in.
If you’re interested in what further classic cars will be making their way to F1 2017, then all will be revealed in the coming weeks.
