A Week In The Hub: 16th-22nd Feb 2014

Last time out it was a bit of a busy seven days with news, reviews, trailers and more dropping like no ones business. Well there’s no sign of that dwindling as the last seven days have been just as hectic!

Not that we’re complaining!

By far the most talked about game of the last week has been that of Titanfall. You know it yeh? The one with those little Pilot dudes and their friendly Titans? Yep, that’s the one. Well not only did we continue piling more hours than we knew existed into the beta (we enjoyed it you know!), but we also picked up on a fair few stories that were doing the rounds, such as the Prestige Style Rank system, some details about maps and those damn addicting burn cards. But not only that because we were one of the first to also tell you about how Titanfall was going to be available to download from the Xbox One Store prior to its release date. We told you that because at the time, it was an absolutely massive story. Damn those guys at Microsoft for then ruining the day by taking the page down and releasing a statement to say it had been posted in error. For a while we were more excited than a kid at Christmas and it’s a shame that our hopes had to then be dashed.

Away from Titanfall (is that going to be possible anytime soon!?), and we saw a new review going live on TheXboxHub. Fable Anniversary was a game that many of us were looking forward to seeing on the Xbox 360, even if that were mostly for the fact we could now pick up achievements that were missing from the original title. We’ll let you have a little read of the review but if you haven’t ever taken in the delights of the game that spawned a whole series, then you may just want to pick it up.

If you’re not much of a Fable fan then you could well be looking for some other game to fill your Xbox 360 game time. What better place to start than by checking out the discounted titles currently running in the Xbox 360 Ultimate Games Sale. There are plenty of games in there to have been hit by decent reductions, even more so if you throw in the daily deals or the usual Xbox Deal of the Week.

We also had a few articles covering an invitation to early access of the Xbox One System Updates, a much loved track returning to Forza 5 and that crazy Rayman guy finally getting an outing on the next generation, with Rayman Legends.

And then the last addition to this weeks roundup sees us taking in an exclusive Q&A interview with Dan Teasdale. Dan is the CEO and Creative Director at No Goblin studios and also the main man behind one of the most exciting games to be heading to Xbox One. Roundabout promises to be like nothing you’ve ever seen before, portraying the life of the worlds first ever rotating limousine chauffeur. Yep, you did read that right but if you want to know more you’ll have to check out our Q&A article with Dan.

As usual, we’ll catch you again next week, but in the meantime why not follow us on Twitter, check out our G+ and Facebook pages or subscribe to our YouTube channel which just so happens to be closing in on 100 videos and 10,000 views. We’ve even now got an Instagram page you can take a look at. Instagram is cool still yeh?

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
