Time sure flies by in the world of Xbox One and Xbox 360, it’s that time of the week where we look back at the last seven days worth of goings on with regards to news, reviews and opinions.

Speaking of opinions, we know there are gamers out there that have an Xbox One to share with the whole family and kids especially. Hence we compiled a list of the top 5 best Xbox One games for kids, basically the ones worth splashing the cash on. We won’t spoil it for you if you haven’t read it yet but when a LEGO game missed out then you know those that remain must be great choices.

2K cranked up the marketing for WWE 2K15 with the release of an official gameplay trailer in an attempt to convince fans worldwide that they mustn’t ignore the next wrestling instalment. In the words of Joey Styles, “Oh my god” because it was simply an adrenaline rush filled with hard hitting signature and finishing moves. The WWE fans amongst us here at TXH we’re blown away by some of the visuals, even those who don’t like it admired the realism.

Are you ready to enter Mordor? Well Warner Bros. weren’t sure so they released a new trailer, pretty close to the upcoming release, for Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor. The Mordor preparation video took us through the background of the story, gave us a better look at a few characters and went over the awesome Nemesis system in place. Worth a watch even if you have seen a lot of footage as it’s a decent re-cap to create excitement.

Now, everyone loves free games right? That’s why the Games with Gold October announcement was music to our ears as we see three games in total coming to the Xbox consoles. This time the one for the Xbox One, Chariot, is completely new and debuts as a freebie. The two for Xbox 360 are the explosive Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and the hack’n’slash Darksiders II.

Last but not least we’ve seen a real influx of ID@Xbox titles appearing on the Xbox One store in the form of Nutjitsu, KickBeat Special Edition, Defense Grid 2 and CastleStorm Definitive Edition. Not sure which to pick up though? Don’t worry as we’ve got reviews for both Nutjitsu and KickBeat up on the site to help make your decisions. Expect the rest to get the review treatment soon too.

Been gaming casually since the SNES as a youngster but found my true passion for games on the Playstation 1 (the forbidden word ooo). My addiction grew to its pinnacle with the purchase of an Xbox 360 & Xbox Live Service. A recovering GS hunter that will still play literally any game.
