A Week In The Hub: 28th June – 4th July 2015

It’s still a little quiet in the world of Xbox. With the big announcements having dropped during the E3 2015 show and a lack of games arriving on either format due to the shining sun, the devs and publishers of this world have seemingly gone on some well deserved holidays. But there are still a few stories from the last week that you shouldn’t be missing!

Our favourite Xbox One and Xbox 360 news, reviews and videos from the week of 28th June-4th July 2015 are as follows:

1) An in-depth look at the free Xbox Games With Gold titles for July 2015

We can’t miss the opportunity to remind you about the superb Games With Gold promotion for July 2015. Two new free games are now available to download, with the Xbox One scheme looking more than a little decent. With Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag and So Many Me being given away to all Xbox Live Gold members throughout the month of July and beyond, if you don’t own a Gold membership, then you should really be jumping on board right now.

Even Xbox 360 owners should be happy with the two games on offer for them this month as well…especially come the latter two weeks!

2) Batman Arkham Knight Review

The biggest new release by a country mile is that of Warner Bros’ Batman Arkham Knight. The finale to the Rocksteady trilogy, the Bat goes out in style as he attempts to thwart the Scarecrow from ruling over Gotham City once and for all. With the Arkham Knight in tow, Batman and friends have their work cut out, but thanks to Rocksteady including a fully playable Batmobile for the first time, odds are in the favour of one of the world’s most famous crime fighters.

Batman Arkham Knight doesn’t disappoint, quite possibly turning out to be the best Xbox One game money can be. Have a read of our review for the full rundown.

3) The Xbox Ultimate Games Sale is coming!

We don’t very often include sales in our roundups of the week, mostly because you could well be reading it well after the event. But the Xbox Ultimate Games Sale is slightly different.

Coming to Xbox One and Xbox 360 between the 7th-13th July 2015, it includes over 70 games that have all been reduced by anything up to 50%. Available to Xbox Live Gold members and with the likes of Shadow of Mordor, Far Cry 4 and the stunning Ori and the Blind Forest included, you should be checking the sale out the very second it all goes live.

4) Pre-order bonuses and Special Collector’s Edition of Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 revealed.

Pre-order bonuses are good and Special Collector Editions of games are even better. But figurines – now that’s what we’re talking about!

So the news that Bandai Namco are bringing all three to Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 is something that everyone should be excited about…although the real hardcore Naruto fans will no doubt be getting stupidly excited over the prospect.

Not only will those fans who pre-order the game at selected retailers benefit from a host of bonuses, but grab the Collector’s Edition and you’ll be the envy of your friends. Splash the cash on a couple of stunning looking 1/6th scale figures of Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha though and you can expect the hordes to be bashing your door down just to get a sneaky peek!

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
