The sun is shining once again so let us take you on a trip back over the best Xbox One and Xbox 360 news and reviews from the last seven days.

You should by now have realised that September is in full swing and with that comes a couple of new games from the Xbox Games With Gold scheme. Currently free to all Xbox Live Gold subscibers is Super Time Force on Xbox One and Monaco: What’s Yours Is Mine on the 360. Hit the links and you’ll have the opportunity to download them onto the relavant console….they are after all FREE and shouldn’t be missed.

If you’d prefer to spend some of that hard earned cash on something new, then there has been a couple of new games available this last week. Dance Central Spotlight is out now on Xbox One (we’ve got a full review coming for you very shortly) and promises to get you moving to some of your favourite chart toppers from recent times. If however you’re after something completely different then you could always check out the latest variation of Minecraft, the Xbox One Edition. Much much larger than the Xbox 360 version, you should find there is enough room in the Xbox One Edition to create, tinker and destroy to your hearts content. The news that you can import your 360 worlds directly in will be a god send for many.

You could also get yourself signed up to the EA Access program as a new game has just become available on there for free. Need For Speed Rivals, joins the scheme and is free to download and play whilst you’re a member of EA latest venture. It’s more than worth the cash in our opinion, especially if you haven’t yet checked out EA’s Xbox One racer yet.

Sticking with the latest releases and TheXboxHub have taken a look at a number of games in the last week that have released very recently. You can find Xbox One reviews of the bonkers Stick It To The Man!, the eerie Metro Redux, a ball pinging fun time in The Walking Dead Pinball FX2 table, and the conclusion of a highly emotive story in The Walking Dead Season 2 Episode 5 ‘No Going Back’. We’ve also had a good old look at an upcoming Xbox One title from those Worm masters, Team 17 in Flockers. It’ll release on the 19th September and first looks are very very promising so make sure you check out our preview.

Finally in this shorter than usual edition of A Week In The Hub, I’d like to point you in the direction of a couple of hotly anticipated release dates….namely that of Project CARS and the return of the gorefest that is Mortal Kombat X.

Oh, you may like to check out the official live action trailer for Destiny ahead of its release this coming week too.

Enjoy and catch you soon…..on Destiny perhaps?

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
