A Week In The Hub: 6th April-12th April 2014

Another week goes by in the world of Xbox and it’s not been the most exciting of weeks except the following news pieces we are going to recap for you of course.

It’s time to cut out the middle man. No more uploading your game clips to the OneDrive and then downloading it to your computer to then add to YouTube. Thanks to a recent update it can be as simple as editing the clip in the Upload Studio before immediately sharing to a YouTube channel of yours.

What is the largest video game roster you’ve ever seen? I bet the EA Sports UFC roster so far could certainly rival it with even more names being added periodically. Every fan favourite will end up being on the list to ensure no one is disappointed once the list is full. There’s even a spot for martial arts legend, Bruce Lee which was a real shock name added to the roster and still we expect more fighters to come before the roster is complete.

As a fan of trading cards in general, nothing pleases me more than to see a virtual version of a huge franchise making its way to the next generation of gaming (and Xbox 360 too). Magic 2015 – Duels of the Planeswalkers is the game, defeating enemies using the power of cards is the aim. You’ll have to wait until the summer to get your hands on this downloadable title.

And now for something completely different, the next title to be released by Press Play, those who developed Max: The Curse of Brotherhood and they are currently calling it Project Totem. It looks set to bend the mind to places never seen before using the art of controlling two things at once. Keep an eye out for it coming in Fall 2014 for both 360 & One.

Last but not least I think getting inside the minds of the people behind the scenes of development can warm you up to certain games. For us it’s definitely the case when we were fortunate enough to engage in a little Q&A with two potential great titles of the future. Whether you’d like to know more about “Earthlock: Festival of Magic” or “Jet Car Stunts”, we hope you enjoy reading.

Been gaming casually since the SNES as a youngster but found my true passion for games on the Playstation 1 (the forbidden word ooo). My addiction grew to its pinnacle with the purchase of an Xbox 360 & Xbox Live Service. A recovering GS hunter that will still play literally any game.
