ACA NEOGEO The King of Fighters 2001 enhances the Xbox One Neogeo library

-

If you thought the constant releases of the FIFA series, run of Call of Duty titles or any other annual franchise drop was a modern gaming problem then think again, for the King of Fighters series saw game after game churned out on a yearly basis. And now, after seeing every single King of Fighters games from 1994 until the end of the millennium make their way over to Xbox One, things still show no sign of giving up with the launch of King of Fighters 2001.

First released under the SNK banner back in 2001, King of Fighters 2001 has now launched on Xbox One as the latest ACA NEOGEO port. Priced up at £6.69 (yep, a little increase over all previous Neogeo titles), this is the third game in the KOF NESTS collection, delivering a fighting experience that sees 40 characters involving themselves in a kick and a punch in order to prove their worth to the watching millions.

This time round you can create a team too, with up to 4 fighters joining forces via the Tactical Order Select system, whilst the usual ACA NEOGEO port additions of worldwide leaderboards and amendable difficulty settings are also available.

If you’ve enjoyed all the previous King of Fighters titles that have rocked up on Xbox One, and just must add this to your library, or are just wondering what all the fuss is about, then make your way to the Xbox Store and grab a little download.

I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
