It was meant to arrive in May 2018, but with that initial release date passing without success, it has been a troubling time for fans of Ancestors Legacy. But fear not for a new fully confirmed launch date has become known – and you won’t have to wait too much longer.

1C Entertainment and Destructive Creations have today announced that the critically acclaimed historical RTS, Ancestors Legacy, is coming to Xbox One on August 13th 2019, finally reaching the remaining platforms it was meant for with the Xbox One version. It’ll also be coming to PS4 on the same day.

Tested with a gamepad for over two years now, the user interface and key mapping are well optimized to bring a great gaming experience even without the more traditional RTS peripherals, as Ancestors Legacy attempts to fill in the gap of RTS games on console platforms.

This will see Ancestors Legacy bringing all its main weapons to console – enticing history-inspired storyline, tactical squad-based battles, day-night cycle, action camera, and pleasing visuals on par with the PC version. Further to that though, expect to see extra hours of gameplay in skirmish or online multiplayer modes.

If you are interested in a history-inspired, real-time strategy game influenced by historical events in the Middle Ages, then Ancestors Legacy is for you. The game combines resource management and base building with large-scale, squad-based battles across vast battlefields, all rendered in superb detail with Unreal Engine 4, allowing you to experience medieval bloodshed like never before.

Main features include:

  • Four playable nations in an extensive single-player campaign inspired by historical events
  • Various modes of intense multiplayer battles
  • Advanced tactical options combining the use of terrain, experience, and morale
  • Cinematic battle camera view that puts you right in the center of the action
  • Outstanding visual fidelity powered by Unreal Engine 4
  • Streamlined resource management and village construction

We will of course remind you as and when the August 13th launch date arrives – or if it is pushed back further. Just be sure to let us know in the comments below if you wish to hear more about this game.
