Why are you telling us about shoes? We’re only interested in gaming. Well, when Ubisoft decided to team up with sneaker artist, Dominic Lowman in order to create the Limited Edition Assassin’s Creed Origins Yeezy sneakers, that line between gaming and shoes was crossed.
Ubisoft have today announced the ACO Kicks collaboration with Dominic Lowman of Carmeno Custom Kicks. With an Instagram following of 60,000 ‘sneakerheads’, if anyone knows a thing or two about sneakers, it is Lowman. Which makes the super limited edition shoes something exciting.
16 pairs of the bespoke hand-crafted Assassin’s Creed Origins sneakers have been created and they look to merge the worlds of Ancient Egypt and the Yeezy sneaker ahead of the game releasing on Xbox One, PS4 and PC come 27th October 2017.
The design takes inspiration from the historical setting of the latest instalment in the Assassin’s Creed franchise – marrying the modern world of popular culture with Ancient Egypt in a world first. The collaboration saw Lowman researching and exploring the ancient, in-game world created by Ubisoft’s development team in Montreal, before transforming and applying these themes into his bespoke Yeezy design. It comes with a focus on Bayek, the lead character in Assassin’s Creed Origins, and this has seen Lowman produce a distinctive design available in white, and a black edition to reflect the overall design of the latest instalment in the franchise.
Lowman said of the collaboration: “It’s been so cool to work with Ubisoft on designing the Assassin’s Creed Origin’s sneaks. For me, sneaker culture is a perfect representation of popular culture right now and it’s been amazing to merge this with a gaming franchise to create something that is not only wearable, but rich with history and a back story.”

Through the collaboration, Dominic has been able to bring to life the lead protagonist of Assassin’s Creed Origins and to showcase the beautiful themes of ancient Egypt through his inspiring work.”
