by Neil Watton (neil363)April 16, 2017

It may be getting on a bit, with its fifth anniversary fast approaching, but Assassin’s Creed Revelations has now arrived for free. Not sure what you’re waiting for – go and download it right now!

Stripped of its price tag for the next couple of weeks, Assassin’s Creed Revelations is the latest title to be gifted for free to all Xbox 360 and Xbox One Gold subscribers. Thanks to the Xbox Games With Gold scheme, if you’re the proud holder of such a subscription, then until the end of April 2017, Revelations is free to download. After that, well, it’ll go back up in price but should you have hit that magical button beforehand, it’ll be yours to keep forever more.

Usually priced at £8.99, Revelations sees the iconic Ezio Auditore travel east in search of the lost library of Assassins. Following in the footsteps of Altair, you can expect to find a wonderful story of discovery and revelation – hence the name – giving you the opportunity to get involved in a whole ton of stabby-stabby action once more.

If you fancy hearing more about the free Xbox Games With Gold title for April 2017, hit up our in-depth article before heading over to the Xbox Games Store and getting your freebie.

Game Description:

When a man’s battles have been won and his enemies destroyed, what then? Where does he find purpose and meaning? To find answers to these questions, Ezio Auditore will travel east in search of the lost library of the Assassins. In Assassin’s Creed® Revelations, master assassin Ezio Auditore walks in the footsteps of the legendary mentor Altair, on a journey of discovery and revelation. It is a perilous path – one that will take Ezio to Constantinople, the heart of the Ottoman Empire, where a growing army of Templars threatens to destabilize the region. In addition to Ezio’s award-winning story, a refined and expanded online multiplayer experience returns with more modes, more maps and more characters, allowing you to test your assassin skills against others from around the world.

About The Author
Neil Watton (neil363)
An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One. A massive racing fan, Forza 4 was the daddy of all Xbox titles but Forza Horizon 3 now trumps that. Online first person shooters are my hell....probably because my reactions are so poor, but give me a little Indie title and I'll be in heaven. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
