After 20 years of playing every game I can get my hands on, I can now be found selling my soul for anything Resident Evil, Gears of War, or Gamerscore related... all of which will be mastered after a good cuppa!
Should you be after a game that can provide hours of fun or even some engaging experiences with friends, then Tetsumo Party isn’t likely to be your go-to game. It has a nice idea and if done better - dare I say maybe even with Kinect from back in the day - we could have been looking at a very interesting game. Sadly, that’s not the case
For a yearly release based on one of the biggest racing franchises, NASCAR Heat 4 doesn’t quite do it justice and even though those wanting a functional racer will find enough to be going on with, there aren't many reasons to pick this over any other racer on the market.
When it comes to survival horror, the first thing that many will want to talk about are the classic titles that kicked it all off; the Resident Evil’s and the Silent Hill’s of this world. Of course, since that point, survival horror has come a long way, evolving a lot, but that doesn’t mean that there aren’t people out there who appreciate the roots of where it all began. With DAYMARE: 1998, that’s what the focus is centred around.

As a young kid keen on flying, the aviation industry had always been something that interested me. In my teen years and on into my early adulthood, my interest peaked to an all-time high and my stint with the Air Cadet Corps saw me spend time taking lessons and adding hours towards my training for a pilot’s license. With 21 hours of single engine aircraft flight, including seven solo hours under my belt, I still had a long way to go and unfortunately with other commitments and the astronomical costs of flying lessons, I like many others, lost track of my early hobby.
Nowadays my addiction to all things gaming sees my closest ventures to the skies coming from whatever flight based game arrives on console. You can only imagine how keen I was to get hands on with Iron Wings, the latest arcade-style, World War II era air combat game to arrive on Xbox One. But can this arcade title bring the excitement of the skies and the reality of an historical era to its players?
The guys over at Bugbear Entertainment may have been rather quiet in recent months when it has come to news regarding the development of their upcoming destruction derby-esque racer Wreckfest, but that doesn’t mean progress hasn’t been continuing behind closed doors. And now you have a chance to be a part of that development too thanks to a new competition being run for the game.
2017 has already proven to be a fantastic year for fighting games, with spectacular outings for both the Tekken and Injustice franchises, whilst Mortal Kombat still holds a loyal fan base despite releasing a couple of years ago. But if you thought you’d seen everything 2017 has to offer in the fighting genre, then think again. Marvel vs Capcom may not have been in quite the same league as those aforementioned titles with its recent entries, but with a new release comes a fresh chance to battle with the best. But does Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite have what it takes to rank amongst the greats?
We may have already have Farming Simulator and Professional Farmer options, but farming can prove a competitive business and today the real competition has stepped into the fold - Real Farm has arrived.
Despite having a heavy interest in gaming since I was first able to run off with a controller, the brawler genre has never been something I’ve been too heavily interested in. Sure, you’ve got your classics like Streets of Rage and Golden Axe, but even those failed to spark much of an interest for me. Recent years has been rather quiet on the brawler front, but the guys over at nDreams hope to change that by bringing the once popular genre to Xbox One. How? With a hit of side-scrolling and an infusion of zombies of course.
But does Bloody Zombies have what it takes to kickstart the genre once more?
It’s been a while since we first took to the dying streets of Harran in Techland’s popular open-world first person survival horror hit Dying Light. Even the aptly named expansion The Following feels like it was years ago, but content is one of the many things Dying Light has always done well. If you’re one of those still enjoying the darkened delights of the corpse infested streets, then you’ll be happy to hear that even more content has now arrived for the parkour filled adventure, bringing with it a bunch of new weapons, new bounties, new outfits and new enemies. It’s time to head back to Harran.
There are plenty of top games coming out this month that may well see you wanting to save up the cash, but sometimes a good bargain can be too good to turn down. So with the latest batch of weekly Xbox Live Deals With Gold and Spotlight Sale discounts on Xbox One and Xbox 360 now here and running between the 17th-23rd October 2017, here are our thoughts on the bargains you should be looking out for.
It seems rare that a week goes by without a fresh content drop for Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege and today proves that, with yet another piece of DLC arriving on the Microsoft Store for everyone’s favoured tactical FPS. This time the content coming in is for Pulse, one of the Defending Operator’s in Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege
If you’ve been blasting your way through the ranks of the Battlefield 1 multiplayer in recent months, then you’ve probably already been enticed into the latest DLC packs that have arrived, and the multiplayer additions they’ve brought. With the year finally coming to its closing months, it will soon be time for the next DLC pack to arrive in Battlefield 1, so to prepare you for the upcoming release, here’s what you can expect to find in Battlefield 1: Turning Tides.
No matter your favourite genre, there are always a number of noticeable games. One particular platformer that stood out for me was Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee, a game in which you start off as a slave in a meat factory before being forced to escape after overhearing the plan of the evil boss. It's a classic storyline and one which immediately grabbed my attention. It seems Splashteam, the developers of Splasher, enjoyed it too as their game starts off with a great homage to Abe. But does it share the same level of quality as one of platforming's greatest games, or are the early nods simply nothing more than wishful thinking?
If you’ve not yet dived into the free prologue of Raiders of the Broken Planet, given the quiet arrival, there’s a high chance you have no idea what it is. Raiders of the Broken Planet is the latest attempt at a four vs one asymmetrical shooter – a sub-genre that has proved rather popular in recent months. Or at least that’s what it’s supposed to be, because given my time with the game I’m not sure if that’s completely accurate.
Call of Duty: WWII may be just around the corner, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t still plenty to enjoy with last year’s entry to the franchise, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. After a month of exclusivity to PlayStation 4, today is the day for the final DLC to arrive and Retribution is now finally available on Xbox One.
Save your cash for the upcoming releases, or splash it all on the weekly bargains? It can be a hard choice to make. Nevertheless. the latest Xbox Live Deals With Gold and Spotlight sale bargains have now arrived, and with the past few week’s offering up some incredible deals for bargain hunters, have Xbox brought us yet more to shout about once again?

For those of you who have been living under a rock or deep in the jungle for the last ten years, the Devil May Cry games feature a protagonist called Dante. And this is Dante when he was just effortlessly cool...
The two games featured in the Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection were big deals when first released. Playing them again now, it is clear to see why.
