Cats may think they rule the internet, but in the dog’s mind – and ours – it is they who are king. And today we get the opportunity to join a young pupper as he heads out on a bone-focused quest with Milo’s Quest on Xbox One, PS4, PS Vita and Nintendo Switch.
Available right now on Xbox One, PS4 and PS Vita, with a Nintendo Switch launch ready and waiting in the wings (31st Jan if you’re asking!), Milo’s Quest is the latest cute, colourful and cheap gaming experience from the Ratalaika Games stable.
First created by the development team at lightUP, it is Ratalaika who are responsible for the console porting of this fun looking doggy game, following on from their previous hits like Red Bow and Foxyland.Â
Priced at just £4.99 – and even then there’s a launch discount which drops it down further – Milo’s Quest comes with a vibrant 8-bit art style and some lovely chiptune tracks as you take to the world as a young pup – Milo. See, this guy has spied a bone in the local park, but the problem is it is cursed and one nibble sets free the evil King Old Skull. As Milo opened up the curse, it is up to him to stop it.Â
This will mean you need to help Milo traverse his way through a puzzling combat filled adventure, grabbing items, using tools, and solving tests of mind in the process. With a variety of difficulties in place and a bit of customisation allowed too, should you be in for a sweet little adventure then Milo’s Quest should well provide it.Â
Our full review of Milo’s Quest on Xbox One will be coming along before you know it, able to fill you in with the finer details, but for now hit up the Xbox Store, the PlayStation Store, or the Nintendo eShop and find out whether this doggo adventure is one for you. Chances are it won’t be the best dog centric game ever, but it should well scratch an itch.
Let us know in the comments what you think.Â
