Beloved graphic adventure Broken Age now available on Xbox One

-

It’s been around for a few years already, delivering a family friendly experience to PS4, PS Vita, PC and mobile players, but now, finally, it’s here on Xbox One. Welcome Broken Age!

Available right now for £15.99, Broken Age is the latest title to roll out of the Double Fine Productions stable, giving us a gorgeous hand animated, puzzle filled adventure in which we follow two teens, Vella and Shay, across radically different worlds.

After a hugely successful crowdfunding campaign saw the game release on those other formats, it’s great to now see Double Fine rocking up on Xbox One again with a such an interested tale. It’ll be up to us to switch between Vella and Shay as they deal with the unexpected adventures that they stumble upon.

With an original orchestral soundtrack and an all-star voice cast with the likes of Elijah Wood, Jennifer Hale and Jack Black included, Broken Age should be something a bit special.

We’ll only really find out once our full review is live – and it’ll be with you in the coming days – but for now, the Xbox Games Store will be able to sort you out with a download.

Game Description:

Broken Age is a timeless coming-of-age story of barfing trees and talking spoons. Vella Tartine and Shay Volta are two teenagers in strangely similar situations, but radically different worlds. The player can freely switch between their stories, helping them take control of their own lives, and dealing with the unexpected adventures that follow. Key Features: – Pointing – Clicking – Original soundtrack, composed by Peter McConnell, recorded by the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra – All-star voice cast, including Elijah Wood, Jack Black, Jennifer Hale, Masasa Moyo, Wil Wheaton, and Pendleton Ward – Dialog Trees! – Some jokes. Unless you don’t think they’re funny, in which case we totally weren’t trying to be funny. – A whole bunch of awesome PUZZLES – This one really hard puzzle that you won’t get but you’ll look it up online and not tell anybody – All your hopes and dreams
