Bomber Crew sets its sights on a July console launch

-

We played it at EGX in 2017, and it generated $1 million within its first two weeks on sale for PC, but now Bomber Crew is finally heading for a console release – and it’ll arrive with both a Season Pass and DLC pack in tow.

Created by the two man development team at Runner Duck Games, before being picked up and published by Curve Digital, Bomber Crew is on course and ready to drop the land gear on Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PS4 come 10th July 2018.

In Bomber Crew you will be tasked with recruiting, training, and upgrading your very own WWII flight team before piloting a Bomber over enemy territory. Your crew members only have one life though, so every mission is fraught with danger as you guide the crew to victory while dodging flak fire, maintaining course through unstable weather conditions, avoiding enemy radar detection, battling dreaded enemy Aces, and more. Still you know what they say – who dares, wins… and all that malarkey.

But it won’t just be running raids on enemy positions you need worry about and with every Bomber being totally customisable, with the ability to change the base colour – from gaudy pink to camo green – all the way up to upgrading its bombing capability and your chances of survival, there are a million and one things you need to keep an eye on. Using the in-game tool, you can even slap your slogan on the side of the vehicle or draw your own wing art, to strike fear or laughter into the hearts of your enemies.

There will also be an all-new Infinite Mode and leaderboards included for those who like to test themselves even more.

Alongside the game releasing on July 10th, Bomber Crew’s Season Pass comes to console on the same date, along with the Deluxe Editions and the debut DLC pack, Secret Weapons. This sees players taking to the skies during the WWII “Big Week” in the winter of 1944 – faced with new treacherous weather conditions to fly in, new enemy Aces to confront, changes to the airbase (bring a jacket for the snow!), and more ways to upgrade the Bomber.

If you like the sound of that, and wish to be in the pilot’s seat for future DLC additions, then the Season Pass delivers access to all the announced and released DLC, as well as one further set of unannounced side missions, representing a significant saving to purchasing all DLC separately.

Chocks away!

I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
