Carrion to burst out and infect Xbox One in 2020

With the X019 event just around the corner, the upcoming and uncomfortably squishy horror PC game Carrion has been unveiled to be releasing on Xbox One too. What’s more, it’ll also be playable at X019 for those in attendance.

Coming from indie developers Phobia Game Studio and publishers Devolver Digital – most recently seen launching Metal Wolf Chaos XD on Xbox One – Carrion is looking very much like an unnerving, but highly anticipated horror game. Ever since its reveal at E3 2019, it has garnered a number of award nominations and, allegedly, there have been ritual sacrifices in its unholy name as well. But what can we expect upon its arrival on Xbox One and PC later next year?

Well, all we really know is that Carrion is described as a reverse horror game in which you assume the role of an amorphous creature of unknown origin. Prepare to stalk and consume those that imprisoned you in order to spread fear and panic throughout the facility you find yourself in. Only then can you grow and evolve, tearing down the prison whilst acquiring more and more devastating abilities on the path towards retribution. It’s going to be pretty gross too, so that’s another aspect to look forward to.

As previously mentioned, Carrion will be playable at X019 in London from 14th-16th November, 2019, however the full release on Xbox One and PC isn’t until 2020. In the meantime, to get a glimpse of the carnage you can cause as the creature, be sure to check out the new announcement trailer. Feel free to leave us a comment afterwards to express your thoughts on Carrion, or even chuck us a message on our social media channels.
