SkyBox Labs, the co-developer of Halo Infinite, have today revealed their next game – Stela. And it’ll be coming to Xbox One and PC in 2019.

Stela is a cinematic platformer about a young woman witnessing the final days of a mysterious ancient world, and this will see you having to overcome daunting challenges, traversing treacherous terrain and battling the most gargantuan of beasts in order to survive.

Amongst all that though and Stela will see you also having to manipulate the artistic environment to solve puzzles and pass safely past numerous dangers, with the action pulled together by an original soundtrack to create a highly atmospheric experience.

“Our focus was to create beautiful 3D atmospheres with depth and scale while remaining as true to the cinematic platformer genre as possible,” said Shyang Kong, Co-Founder, SkyBox Labs. “We’re extremely proud of our work developing partner titles like Halo Infinite and Minecraft Bedrock Edition on Nintendo Switch, and we’re eager to bring that level of craftsmanship to a touching new experience.”

With SkyBox Labs having worked on Halo Infinite, chances are that Stela will be something well worth taking in when it releases on Xbox One and PC later in 2019. Before that happens though, a little taste of the action will be available when Stela debuts at GDC 2019 as part of Microsoft’s [email protected] Developer Showcase.
