It’s been a while coming but finally Milky Tea Studios and Wales Interactive are giving us a release date for the awesome looking Coffin Dodgers.
The world’s latest kart/mobility scooter racer, Coffin Dodgers will appear on Xbox One come 6th May 2016, after dropping on PS4 a few days earlier on May 3rd.
You’ll be tasked with racing against The Grim Reaper and numerous other competitors over a 13 race championship; one in which only the most skilled racer will survive. With four distinct areas to compete in, each with it’s own mini-tournament included, you’ll need to be quick, you’ll need to utilise your homemade weapons and you’ll need to take advantage of a ton of gadgets in order to win. With a 2-4 player split screen mode ready to roll, mayhem will no doubt ensue.
Features include:
- “Road Rash” style player-to-player combat with wacky weapons and geriatric gadgets.
- Character ragdoll physics!
- Upgradable mobility scooters with modifications to suit your driving style.
- Select from 7 old, quirky but full of life retirement village residents.
- Unlock and play as the Grim Reaper himself!
Game Modes:
- Invite your friends to the 2-4 Split-Screen Multiplayer Mode!
- Battle your way through a Single-Player Story Mode with races and challenges set around the beautifully crafted Sunny Pines retirement village.
- Challenge yourself with the 3D open world “Crazy Granddad” Mode.
Coffin Dodgers will be priced at £9.59, $11.99, €11.99 on Xbox One. We can’t wait to get behind our mobility scooters and check it out.
If you want to check it out, why not have a little look at the launch trailer. Just ignore the PS branding 😉
Shame there’s no online multiplayer but I did read a questions and answers with the makers which they stated no online multiplayer on release, I wonder if it might be added at a later date if they get enough players buy it.
