Not content with the retro goodies that King of Fighters ’94, ’95, ’96, ’97 or ’98 delivered? You’re in luck as another ACA NEOGEO title has rocked up on Xbox One – King of Fighters ’99!

It must be said you’ll need to be some kind of hardcore retro fighting freak should you feel the need to really go deep with every single one of the ACA NEOGEO King of Fighters titles that have rocked up on Xbox One over the last year or so, but should that be you, then you’ll find another fighter that brings back so many memories.

Priced at £6.39, ACA NEOGEO King of Fighters ’99 has been created off the back of the MVS version and so may be different to what you previously took in at home. But that said, with a new Striker Match mode ensuring that strategy plays a part and a whole new story that focuses on Kyo Kusanagi, if you remember the game from 1999, or just wish to give something slightly different from the modern day fighters a go, then you could probably do worse.

King of Fighters ’99 also now comes with global leaderboards so you can test yourself against the world, and the opportunity to mix up the game difficulty levels.

Should you wish to give it a shot then the Microsoft Store will need to be visited asap.

Game Description:

“THE KING OF FIGHTERS ’99” is a fighting game released by SNK in 1999. This entry in this series marks the beginning of the “NESTS” chapter of the KOF story, and focuses on the new character K’ instead of Kyo Kusanagi. This entry introduces a new Striker Match mode, adding an even more strategic element to the classic KOF game system. The “ACA NEOGEO” series has faithfully reproduced many classic NEOGEO masterpieces. Players can change various game settings such as game difficulty, and also reproduce the atmosphere of arcade display settings at that time. Players can also compete against each other from all over the world with their high scores. Please enjoy the masterpiece that built a generation for video games. *This title is based off the MVS (NEOGEO for arcades) version. There may be differences between this version and the versions for the home NEOGEO console and other home consoles.
