It’s not even out in the wild yet but already Activision are pushing Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled to new levels with the announcement that those involving themselves in the remastered game will be able to take part in free bonus seasonal content via in-game Grand Prix offerings.

When it kicks off with the first Grand Prix on July 3rd 2019, Crash Team Racing players will get access to a new track, unlockable characters, more karts and a variety of customisation items, giving even more reason to play.

Today though, in a first-look of CTR TV, will find the hosts – Chick and Stew – revealing all the fun awaiting players in the Grand Prix. They also revealed that fans will get a brand-new track with each Grand Prix, with the first one – Twilight Tour – taking players on an epic journey by day and night through the middle east. But that’s not all and we also have news that Tawna will be coming to the CTR universe, as an earnable character in the first Grand Prix. Further to that, new items and characters will be dropped into the game’s Pit Stop rotation each Grand Prix, including members of the Nitro Squad in the first season (formerly known as the Trophy Girls). These racers come from regions around the world and are ready to represent their countries with speed and strength!

Even more exciting is the fact that should you travel to the South Lobby of the Los Angeles Convention Centre at E3, show attendees can test drive Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, becoming some of the first in the world to race on remastered Crash Team Racing tracks: Tiny’s Arena and Hot Air Skyway, and reimagined Crash Nitro Kart tracks: Jungle Boogie and Thunderstruck.

“Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled was designed to deliver fun in unexpected and exciting ways. The Grand Prix does that by giving players a reason to fall in love with the game over and over again,” said Thomas Wilson, Co-Studio Head at Beenox. “Crash Team Racing was an iconic game in the ‘90s that influenced how gamers played kart racer games, and we’re thrilled to continue that tradition with Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled by introducing new content to players in ways they haven’t imagined yet— the race definitely isn’t over once you cross the finish line.”

Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled will be hitting the Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch grids come June 21st 2019, featuring all the remastered tracks, characters and modes from the original CTR game, and all the reimagined tracks from the original CNK game – all playable in stunning HD!

Make sure you keep an eye out for it – if only to discover if it can take on Team Sonic Racing in the karting stakes.
