The chaotic adventures of Rico Rodriguez are set to continue as the brand new Danger Rising expansion arrives for Just Cause 4 on Xbox One, PS4 and PC. There are also a couple of new vehicles too, but that’s the least of your worries with the past coming back to haunt Rico in Danger Rising!
The Danger Rising expansion sees Rico armed with a new prototype Hoverboard, so he’s able to speed across the ocean’s surface, grind rails and even kick-flip over an exploding helicopter – just because he can. Using this next evolution of traversing, you’ll leave a whole load of destruction in your wake whilst taking on his old employers. The Agency are out to get Rico you see. Fortunately, he’s aided by Tom Sheldon on this mission, with the pair beginning their crusade by investigating a large submarine, which has surfaced ominously off the coast of Solis. Could Rico actually be out of his depth against The Agency?
In total, the Danger Rising DLC adds 8 new missions, the game-changing Hoverboard, as well as a range of exciting new weapons and vehicles to the crazy world. You can blast enemies with the ultra-powerful Sequoia 370 Mag-Slug, bend the laws of gravity with the Stormalong Em Zero magnesis rifle, or deploy your very own remote controlled drone with the Yellowstone Auto Sniper Rifle. And Just Cause 4 owners who possess the Expansion Pass or Gold Edition of the game can get involved immediately. Everyone else must wait a bit longer until 5th September, when it’ll be available to purchase separately.
There is the cheap and cheerful Adversary Assault Vehicle Pack to spend your cash on right now though, with £3.99 enough to secure a purchase on the Xbox Store – or the digital store of your choosing. It includes two vehicles: the VTOL JET (X700 Flycatcher), coming fully equipped with heat-seeking missiles and horizontal, vertical manoeuvrability, and the Black Hand Interceptor with its dual machine guns and high-speed boosters.
