Heavily inspired by such classical RPGs such as Baldur’s Gate, Demons Age looks to tell a new tale in the same genre, acting as a modern successor to the classics. Developers Bigmoon have taken it upon themselves to innovate, allow the player to explore new locations, meet new characters and be enthralled in a new plot.
After you are washed up as a prisoner on the coasts of Moragon, your adventure will begin, an adventure in which will take you far and wide, recruiting members to your party and partaking in some turn-based combat, all in an attempt to fix what is wrong in the kingdom. Be careful, however, as characters in your party will have their own backstory and the ability to betray you – so don’t go thinking everyone will be your mate forever.
Story-wise and whilst Demons Age, like many other D&D inspired titles, has a ton of lore and story to get your teeth into, the dungeons and ruins of Moragon are open up for exploration also. Furthermore, side quests are present to divert you from the main storyline, and some puzzles are their to complete in order to progress the story.
Not only this, but your character will also level up throughout the course of the game, as well as gain new weapons, skills and/or spells to dispose of enemies with.
If you want a new story to be gripped by, with much more on the side, including party recruitment and upgrades, then you may want to check out Demons Gate on the Microsoft Store, with a purchase on Xbox One costing you £31.99.
