Just imagine waking up one morning in someone else’s bed, with almost no memory of the night before or who is next to you. How would you respond to such a situation? Maybe you’ve already experienced it before? Nevertheless, that’s the premise in Ratalaika Games’ latest title, One Night Stand available now on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, and coming real soon to Switch.
One Night Stand is an interactive story from Ratalaika Games and Kinmoku which takes place after a night of fun, passion and definitely one too many drinks. You awaken the next morning to find a complete stranger lying naked beside you in a bed. The question is: do you make it a priority to get out of there as soon as possible, or hang around to try and find out more about the current predicament? If it’s the latter, you may have to resort to some rather unusual methods to find the answers you’re looking for, but take care not to prod and pry too much, for it could lead to the stranger wanting you gone.
The choices you make will actually matter as you go about exploring the unknown bedroom, seeking out clues to identify who the stranger is and understanding what exactly happened to bring you both together. There are a total of 12 different endings to uncover within the One Night Stand experience, with the story playing out using life-like rotoscope animations and hand-drawn artwork. Can you keep up the act long enough to find out what really happened and who the stranger is?
