You may have previously heard of the Doughlings, after all it was they who were first thrust into our lives by the development team at Hero Concept, with the rather decent Doughlings: Arcade back in 2018. Now though they are back, and this time the Doughlings are enjoying a bit of Space Invaders inspiration with the launch of Doughlings: Invasion.
Available to purchase and download right now on Xbox One, Doughlings: Invasion pays tribute to one of the greatest video games of all time – Space Invaders – as Hero Concept stick a little Doughlings style twist onto things. With multiple levels and waves in place, your goal is to clear each and every screen of the fast decending invaders, with you utilising numerous skills and abilities in the process.
See, much like in Doughlings: Arcade, Doughlings: Invasion lets you morph your character into a variety of personas, each of which come with unique skills and ideas. Should you be fed up with the standard shooting that Dr Mopheus brings then switching out to the rapid firing Armor, laser-toting Zap, or the all-conquering Destroyer are all possible, and will all help you in your quest for utter success.
So, interested? You’ll be able to find Doughlings: Invasion available from the Xbox Store for a price of £8.39 right now, and if you’re interested in reliving some of classic Space Invaders action from years gone by, just with a new, modern day twist, then it should possibly be something to consider.
