Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot E3 2019

Bandai Namco had previously announced that they had another game in the pipeline based on the incredibly popular Dragon Ball universe, which was rather ambiguously titled Dragon Ball Game – Project Z. Anyone watching the Xbox E3 2019 briefing however will have seen it unveiled in its Super Saiyan form as Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. And there’s a cracking new trailer to accompany the news that features a very familiar scene or two too…

Developed in Japan by video game developer CyberConnect2 (Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4), Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is now officially the final name for the previously announced action-RPG that’s set to arrive in early 2020 for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. It’s a brand new game aiming to deliver the most accurate, dramatic, and epic telling of the Dragon Ball Z canon storyline – the story of Kakarot, the legendary Saiyan better known to the masses as Goku. So prepare to go toe to toe against some of his greatest foes such as Vegeta and Frieza.

Whilst it’s an experience that’s geared up to tell the legendary tale from the Dragon Ball Z series, players will also find it to be an unforgettable adventure featuring over-the-top battles and challenging quests; while creating life-long friendships along the way as they crusade to protect Earth from fearsome villains. Furthermore, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will present resolutions to some long unanswered questions from the Dragon Ball Z storyline through the medium of light-hearted side quests. And just in case you’re wondering, the inclusion of both English and Japanese voice-over has been confirmed as well.

Those at the event in LA can find it on display in the Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc. booth during E3 2019, located at booth #1647 in the South Hall of the Los Angeles Convention Centre from 10th June, through to the 13th. If you want to get your hands on the game though, hang tight for now as Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is scheduled to launch in early 2020 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.

We’ll be sure to update you once a concrete date has been revealed!
