The aliens are coming and today the team at Holospark have announced the full release date for Earthfall – alongside news of a retail release too.

Confirmed for a July 13th Xbox One, PS4 and PC launch, Earthfall will not just be arriving as a digital download, but due to a partnership with Gearbox Publishing, it’ll also be dropping in to a retail store near you.

Featuring 10 missions and a couple of campaigns, Earthfall will see you fighting back against an alien invasion in a cooperative shooter that will cater for up to four players. You’ll need to utilise a variety of team-based tactics in order to fortify holdouts and complete set mission objectives. 3D printed weaponry, portable barricades and heavy turrets will all need to be harnessed should you and your team ever succeed.

Earthfall promises to drop you in to diverse environments, as you fight the deadly aliens in battle. It will only be by taking on drones and towering monsters, that you’ll discover the story behind the cataclysmic alien invasion – and exactly what horrible secrets the invaders are hiding.

“We are excited to bring Earthfall to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on July 13. By partnering with Gearbox Publishing on a physical release, we’re thrilled that even more fans will be able to get their hands on Earthfall on launch day,” said Russell Williams, CEO of Holospark. “We’ve been hard at work on Earthfall since it first launched in Early Access last year, and we’re really proud of what the game has become. Our thanks to everyone that played Earthfall and shared their feedback, whether that was on Steam or in-person. You’ve helped make the game what is it today.”

“Once we got our hands on Earthfall, we couldn’t stop playing it! It’s the modern coop horde shooter we’ve been missing for so long,” said Brad Schliesser, director of sales at Gearbox. “We knew Earthfall was the perfect addition to our growing publishing efforts at Gearbox.”

“We are excited to be working with Holospark’s talented group of veteran developers to bring the amazing co-op experience of Earthfall to retail this summer,” added Steve Gibson, head of Gearbox Publishing.

From today you can pre-order a special Deluxe boxed copy edition of Earthfall for $39.99 / £39.99 / 39.99 EURO, including exclusive character biohazard suits and weapon skins. Boxed copies are available in Deluxe edition only. A standard edition will be available for $29.99 / £29.99 / 29.99 EURO via digital download.
