The end of the Earth as we know it should hopefully be quite a while away – but in the world of Earthfall it is today, as terrifyingly evil aliens have invaded the Pacific Northwest, bringing humanity to the brink of destruction.
It will be up to you to save the human race as a member of the resistance against the alien menace, setting up a number of defenses as well as taking the fight to the enemy in order to progress through 10 missions across a story-driven campaign. Futuristic guns and a variety of constructible defenses and barricades are at your disposal, but it is entirely up to you (and up to 3 other co-op friends, might I add) as to how you use them.
The alien threat that you will be fighting against will be a procedurally generated one – ensuring that each and every horde of enemies brings a fresh fight that must be combated in different ways.
If you fancy a new challenging experience, either as a lone player or with a couple of mates, then Earthfall is now available to play on Xbox One for £24.99, or you can also pick up the game on PS4. There is also a Deluxe Edition available for £34.99, bringing with it the Hazmat Pack, which includes four new outfits for your characters and new biohazard-themed weapon skins!
We’ll no doubt have a little review coming your way soon, but should you wish to get a little more insight into matters, our full hands-on with the game from a few months back is well worth a read.
