Want to get closer to the action than ever before? The Evil Within has been updated and can now be played in first person!
With the day of love already in place, it’s time to head back into the nightmare world that is The Evil Within 2 on Xbox One, PS4 and PC – just now you’ll find things a little different.
Thanks to the latest update for the game, a quick flip of a switch in the menu will see you being able to play the entirety of the game in first person mode. Surely that is as good a reason as any to experience one of the most acclaimed horrors of the last few years?
What’s more, the Free Trial that is currently available will let you play through the opening few chapters without you even needing to spend a penny. Should you like what you are seeing, then your save data will happily carry on over to a full game upgrade.
“A lot of players like playing horror games in first-person, so for those who want to see some of the game’s situations through Sebastian’s eyes, it’s a really neat experience,” said Tango Gameworks’ producer, Shinsaku Ohara. “I think exploring Union in first-person makes the scale feel even bigger than it does when you’re in third-person. Also, being able to see our environments and enemies up close allows players to get an even better look at how much effort went into their designs.”
