Fall of Light: Darkest Edition available now on Xbox One. PS4 and Nintendo Switch release dates confirmed

-

Been looking forward to Fall of Light: Darkest Edition but weren’t sure exactly when it was going to get released? Well, you need worry no more because the Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch release dates have been confirmed… and the Xbox One version is here now!

The indie publishing team at Digerati have today confirmed that Fall of Light: Darkest Edition will hit Xbox One on the 14th August 2018 (that’s today), with that then being followed by a PS4 release on the 21st/22nd August (depending on whether you are NA or EU based), with a 23rd August release on Nintendo Switch. A limited edition physical version will drop on PS4 at some point in September.

An atmospheric action RPG, Fall of Light: Darkest Edition brings all the original content that was included in the PC launch of Fall of Light back in 2017, but will also include an all-new dungeon to explore, complete with new enemies, traps, and weapons… all of which have been created especially for the Darkest Edition.

Inspired by the likes of Dark Souls and ICO, Fall of Light is a story-driven action RPG that is set within a world consumed by darkness. It sees you playing as an old warrior, Nyx, who has embarked on a dangerous journey with his daughter, Aether, an ‘indigo child’ who radiates luminescence. By sticking together they will be strong enough to complete their quest of reaching the last place on Earth still touched by sunlight.

Features of Fall of Light: Darkest Edition include:

  • 20 different battle stances: get ready to face hordes of shadowy enemies!
  • 10 weapon classes: pick your favorite combo of close-range weapons, crossbows, and shields
  • All-new dungeon: complete with new enemies and dangers, exclusive to the Darkest Edition
  • Protect Aether: her light pierces the darkness and you are stronger together, so keep her safe!
  • Unlock hidden secrets: learn more about the history and lore of Nyx’s world
  • Platinum Trophy and 1000G Achievements available respectively for PS4 and Xbox One versions
  • Supports the following languages: French, Italian, German, Spanish, Russian, Portuguese-Brazil, Simplified Chinese, Hungarian

If you fancy getting involved in the Xbox One version, then make sure you pop on over to the Xbox Store and give it a hit. You’ll find it available for £11.99. For those in need of a bit of clarity before splashing the cash, keep an eye out for our full review. It’s coming!
