Far Cry 5 post launch and Season Pass details revealed

-

Post launch content has pretty much become par for the course, and with the success of multiple additions to their games over the last few years, it comes as no surprise to see that Ubisoft are going down the exact same route with Far Cry 5. Fancy taking in all their plans? There’s one of those glorious Season Passes involved too.

With Far Cry 5 releasing to the world on March 27th 2018, Ubisoft have take it upon themselves to today detail the three DLC adventures which will be included in the Season Pass, as well as a host of other free content for all.

First things first and for those who purchase the Season Pass or Far Cry 5 Gold Edition, you will be able to continue your uncanny adventures in three DLC drops: Hours of Darkness, Dead Living Zombies and Lost on Mars.

  • Hours of Darkness: Players will travel back in time to Vietnam to battle against Việt Cộng soldiers and save their fellow soldiers
  • Dead Living Zombies: Players will team up with friends to fight waves of zombies across seven different scenarios cooked up by a b-movie director
  • Lost on Mars: Players will leave Earth behind to go toe-to-claws with martian arachnids to save Earth from an alien invasion

What’s more, those Far Cry 5 Season Pass owners playing on consoles will also receive the single-player content from another critically-acclaimed game from the series, Far Cry 3 Classic Edition, which will be available to season pass holders four weeks prior to launching as a standalone purchase in summer 2018. PC players meanwhile will receive the full version of Far Cry 3 at a later date.

But that’s not all and all Far Cry 5 players will also have access to Far Cry Arcade, the evolution of the map editor that will deliver an endless amount of free gameplay and map creation opportunities. You’ll find that Arcade will include assets from previous Far Cry games as well as a number of other Ubisoft titles seeing included content from Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, Assassin’s Creed Unity and Watch_Dogs, allowing you to make solo, co-op and PvP multiplayer experiences.

And last but certainly not least, Far Cry 5 will also play host to Live Events that reward the very best – and no doubt the very worst – with new customisation items including unique vehicle and weapon skins for completing different challenges as the exploration of Hope County continues.

So what do you think about Far Cry 5? Will you be plumping for the Season Pass? We think Far Cry Arcade looks damn awesome. Let us know your thoughts down below.
