FIFA 19 gets a trailer focusing on Champions League and pre-order options revealed

-

With Pro Evolution Soccer relinquishing the license for the UEFA Champions League, EA have snapped it up for FIFA 19, making it a focal point of their first trailer and it appears that it’ll be a huge part of the game in many ways. A trio of pre-order options have also been made available to get your purchase locked in to receive a variety of bonuses.

The UEFA Champions League is the pinnacle of club football, where only the best compete to try and achieve their goals, with those triumphant few becoming legends of the sport. In FIFA 19, the UEFA Champions League will have its own standalone tournament mode to re-enact proceedings from the group stage through to the final held at Atletico Madrid’s home, the Wanda Metropolitano. The Europa League and Super Cup are set to be infused into the game, with brand new commentary from Derek Rae and Lee Dixon.

The prestigious competitions will be integrated into other modes too, such as Career mode and Kick Off, whilst Alex Hunter’s next chapter is titled The Journey: Champions. All we know in that regard is that he’ll be stepping onto the grand stage of the Champions League and concluding the dramatic story in style. FIFA 19 Ultimate Team incorporates content updates related to the UEFA Champions League and Europa League too – EA are certainly going ‘all in’ with their new licenses!

FIFA 19 releases on 28th September for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC, with multiple pre-order options already present. Ordering the Standard Edition for £59.99 provides five weekly Jumbo Premium Gold Packs for FUT, Cristiano Ronaldo FUT Loan for seven matches and Special Edition FUT Kits designed by the FIFA soundtrack artists. The Champions Edition includes the same items plus three days early access, 15 extra weekly Jumbo Premium Gold Packs in FUT, a UEFA Champions League Gold Player Pick – choose from one of five 80 to 83 rated players for Ultimate Team – and Neymar Jr on loan in FUT, for a cost of £79.99.

Last, but not least, is the Ultimate Edition of FIFA 19 which is priced at £89.99 for everything in the Champions Edition as well as another 20 weekly Jumbo Premium Gold Packs in FUT. That’s sure to give you a boost in your Ultimate Team escapades.

Been gaming casually since the SNES as a youngster but found my true passion for games on the Playstation 1 (the forbidden word ooo). My addiction grew to its pinnacle with the purchase of an Xbox 360 & Xbox Live Service. A recovering GS hunter that will still play literally any game.
