Each week FIFA Ultimate Team assembles the best players from international and club competition around the world and rewards them as part of the Team of the Week. However, with the season now drawing to a close, there is the opportunity to celebrate the best players from club competition based on their performances during the course of the 2013-14 season.
The following players have been chosen by the FIFA community as the best players over the course of the season. All will be available to purchase from 6pm on 23rd April 2014.
David De Gea – One of very few Manchester United players that can hold his head high after a season of disappointments for the Red Devils. It doesn’t bare thinking about where they’d be without this man between the sticks making a number of acrobatic saves and a few unorthodox ones with his feet. It speaks volumes that the new GK coach brought in has kept his role whilst others have departed, he’s safe for now.
Nemanja Matic – There were many puzzled faces when Chelsea went back in for a guy they sent packing seasons before, a costly mistake financially. It has proven to be a great move on the pitch though with one of his most impressive games came against title rivals Man City where he made Yaya Toure almost anonymous. Could go on to be a Premier League great having already won over fans of many clubs not just his own.

Luke Shaw – The young Southampton left back has been a revelation over the last two seasons but it’s been this year that he’s really come to the fore. Playing the vast majority of games for the Saints, Shaw has acquired many admirers and looks set to take a trip to the World Cup with England and then also make a shorter one-way journey north to Manchester United this coming summer.
Fraser Forster – I hope he doesn’t have any plans for the summer because there’s no better back-up to Joe Hart for Hodgson to take to the World Cup. Some may complain about the lack of competitiveness in the SPL but he still has to be alert and ready for action each game. An outstanding season for him saw records broken for both clean sheets and minutes without conceding a goal.
