The glory days of 16-bit gaming have got a lot to answer for but today they are found to be delivering the goods as The Mummy Demastered arrives on Xbox One, PS4, PC and Nintendo Switch.

Available for £15.99 from the Microsoft Store, or the equivalent digital store for your platform of choice, The Mummy Demastered tells the tale of a powerful ancient evil and the war to save humanity! Inspired by the 16-bit classics, you’ll find yourself running, jumping and shooting your way through a nonlinear 2D adventure as you get to utilise a ton of weapons, mess around with upgrades and uncover magical artifacts.

With a huge emphasis on exploration and back-tracking, The Mummy Demastered will see you fighting your way past numerous enemies and some proper hardcore bosses, as you attempt to save the world from the supernatural hordes of Princess Ahmanet.

Our full review is in the works and will be with you very shortly, but if you’re looking for a game that will whisk you back to the good old days of gaming, then chances are The Mummy Demastered will be it.

About The Author
Neil Watton (neil363)

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch’s Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360’s life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One. A massive racing fan, Forza 4 was the daddy of all Xbox titles but Forza Horizon 3 now trumps that. Online first person shooters are my hell….probably because my reactions are so poor, but give me a little Indie title and I’ll be in heaven.
