First gameplay trailer revealed for Extinction

-

It won’t be arriving until 2018 but E3 2017 has brought us the first gameplay reveal for Extinction… and it’s rather good!

Coming to Xbox One, PS4 and PC in Q1 2018, Extinction promises to bring fast, fluid gameplay that emphasises high speed traversal through the environment. And it is that environment that is looking wonderful, vibrant and lush. The problem is, it’s under siege by the Ravenii – a massive army of otherwordly invaders.

It will therefore be up to you to take charge of Avil, the last of the legendary order of Sentinel warriors in order to save humanity and ensure the remaining civilians escape from imminent doom.

Luckily Avil can dash in any direction, run horizontally and vertically along surfaces, cling to walls, pull himself up ledges, traverse his environment with his whip. He can run on virtually anything, including buildings, mountainsides, and even all over his colossal foes.

If that’s not good enough for you, and you decide to partake in a bit of combat, then Extinction will require the combining of Avil’s wide arsenal of attacks with his extremely high mobility in order to take down the Ravenii and their minions. He can chain attacks together in a variety of ways, as well as cancel his attacks into powerful Rune Strikes (and even dodges). His momentum builds up as he kills minions, dismembers ogres, saves civilians, and completes other objectives. This makes him more powerful, and gives him the energy he needs to land the killing strike.

It might well be worth your time to hit up the trailer below.
