Free-to-play Dungeon Defenders II now available on Xbox One, PS4 and PC

-

Is tower defense your thing? No? How about free? Yeah thought so.

Available right now is the latest free-to-play title to hit Xbox One, PS4 and PC – Dungeon Defenders II. An action tower defense in which you get fully involved in pushing back the enemy forces, Dungeon Defenders II will see you taking charge of a team of heroes, before freezing, burning and electrocuting enemies until you finish them off… whether that by utilising your strategic defenses, or taking to the battle yourself.

Available to play either alone, or with friends via the local split-screen option, or four player online mode, if you’ve been looking for a new game but are slightly tight on the old cash, then the latest free-to-play title should well be considered.

Make your way to the Xbox Games Store and grab your free download right now. PS4 and PC players should make their way to their own digital store.

Obviously, with the way of the world and all that, the usual free-to-play offerings also come with some paid versions – Dungeon Defenders II is no different. If you like what you’re seeing in the free version, then you can also drop a little cash towards the Standard Edition (£19.99, the Gemtacular Bundle (£11.99), the Deluxe Edition (£39.99), or the hugely expensive, appealing-to-mega-fans Heroic Bundle (£74.99). Each of those will no doubt be able to help you out in your quest, bringing gems, Hero cards, Shard packs, gold and more.

Game Description:

Dungeon Defenders II is an Action Tower Defense game, packed with classic roleplaying elements like loot, leveling, and pets. The Old Ones’ armies have invaded Etheria and it’s up to you and your friends to push them back! Create and level a team of heroes to take into battle. Then freeze, burn, and electrocute enemies with your deadly defenses or jump into the action yourself to finish them off! Play by yourself or alongside friends, with up to 4 player online and 2 player local (splitscreen) Co-Op. For more information please visit www.DungeonDefenders.com.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.

Was excited for this game but only managed to get it to work once. Then I couldn’t actually play anything once inside because of error 2003. Everytime I try to even login now it’s error 2002. I really hate when stuff comes to console not prepared for how many people want to play it. I’m about to just delete it.

Loved the first game and put over 500 hrs in it but this one has no soul and is typical free to play garbage with bugs and crashes galore.
