The third series of Telltale Games’ The Walking Dead is coming, and today we’ve been able to get a look at the full launch trailer.

A New Frontier debuts on the 20th December 2016 as a special two parter, with ‘Ties That Bind’ Part I and Part II both dropping into our lives. That means whether you’re an Xbox One, PS4, PC, iOS or Android player, then you’ll be able to get involved from the off. Additional platforms – and we’d guess that would include Xbox 360 – will be announced soon.

For now though, the full launch trailer lets us explore the dire situation that brings newcomer Javier and his family together with everyone’s favourite young survivor, Clementine. It also gives us a glimpse of familiar faces from The Walking Dead universe such as Jesus.

As always, the latest season of The Walking Dead will release as an episodic download, however if you can hold on and wait a little while, a full Season Pass Disc will be available for Xbox One and PS4 players from February.

When family is all you have left… how far will you go to protect it? Years after society was ripped apart by undead hands, pockets of civilization emerge from the chaos. But at what cost? Can the living be trusted on this new frontier? As Javier, a young man determined to protect his family, you meet a young girl who has experienced her own unimaginable loss. Her name is Clementine, and your fates are bound together in a story where every choice you make could be your last.

Whether you’re a new player taking in The Walking Dead series for the first time, or getting back into things as a veteran, then you’ll be pleased to hear that A New Frontier will cater for all players, giving those who wish to continue their adventures from the first two seasons the chance to do so. Just remember, every action has a rather deep reaction and your backstory will be decided on all your choices from months gone by.

Whatever happens though, we can’t wait for The Walking Dead to rise again!

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
