Get some hardcore platforming action with Unit 4 on Xbox One

-

When Gamera Games decided to make their debut Xbox One title tough as nails, then there is no doubt many would have questioned their sanity. But stick with it they did and Unit 4 is now here. The question though, is this – should you go and play Dark Souls after a session just in order to calm down?

Available right now for £11.99, Unit 4 promises some super tough platforming action. Taking charge of four heroes – Blue, Red, Green and Yellow – it is up to you to traverse through multiple stages, utilising the powers of each character in order to progress. Blue comes with a double jump, Red is just a bit of a beast, Green can fly through the air with his grappling hook whilst Yellow is at his best by magically teleporting through walls. As a single hero, each of the four would struggle to survive, but as a team? Well, they are a bit hardcore!

And hardcore is what you’ll need to be as Gamera Games are promising a tough old experience. But should that be for you, the epic journey you get taken on may just be worth your while.

Our review is just a few days away so keep an eye out for it, but if you fancy hopping in to the world of Unit 4 right now, then the Xbox Games Store will be able to sort you out with a download.

Game Description:

An evil alien army has stolen the sacred artifact of our heroes tribe while invading their home planet. Similar reports are coming from other planets and the solar system will decay without the power of these artifacts. Our heroes will begin an epic journey to uncover the truth behind this invasion. Who are these aliens? What are they trying to accomplish? Can our heroes recover the artifacts before their entire solar system starts to collapse? Experience the ultimate old-school platforming mayhem: perform impossible tricks, play with your friends and get ready to save the universe! Fast paced platforming action, cooperative gameplay up to 4 players, an elite squad of agents with amazing skills, space travels, exploration, unique missions, fancy characters, epic fights with huge bosses, trade, minigames and much more!

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
