Today sees the Season of Souls update arrive in Gigantic, bringing with it a nefarious necromancer to get to grips with and other new features to improve the game. Would you like to know more?
Players can now take control of Ezren Ghal; a caster hero possessing necromantic powers to damage all opposition, draining their souls in combat and then trading them in for more powerful and devastating attacks. There’s also a brand new map called Ember Grove, which sets the stage with a dense and rather mysterious battleground to battle upon. This home to bugwitches offers verticality, alongside many nooks and crannies, to help you outmanoeuvre other players.
But that’s not all, as the following additional features are also a part of the Season of Souls update:
- Player Icons – All players now have the ability to choose their account icons and show their own unique style. Additionally, Founders can now show their status as early supporters of the game with exclusive icons.
- Hero Confirm Text Chat – By community request, chat has been extended to the hero confirmation phase, allowing teams to strategize their hero composition before locking it in.
- Ezren Ghal Skins – Several customisation options for the new hero are now available in the shop, including the Opulent Robes skin, colour variants and Eternal skins for players looking to show off their mastery of the wretched reaper.
- Other Features – Improved bot matches, shop UI updates and new Hero interactions in battle.
This latest update for the free-to-play title Gigantic, Season of Souls, is now available on Steam, Arc, Windows 10 and Xbox One.
