Go Super Saiyan in Dragon Ball FighterZ out now on Xbox One, PS4 and PC

-

Dragon Ball FighterZ wants you to get involved in some spectacular fights featuring characters from the Dragon Ball universe, but will you answer the call of duty and tag yourself in for a battle? You best decide soon as it’s out right now!

Unlike the recent RPG exploits of the Dragon Ball XenoVerse titles, Dragon Ball FighterZ takes it back to basics for 3vs3 tag team battles in classic 2.5D form. Join the likes of Goku, Krillin, Tien, Vegeta, and many more, going toe to toe across many iconic locations of the universe. Building the ideal team of all your favourite characters to use is only half the job, as you’ll also need to master the high-speed gameplay and multiple tag combinations. Just to make things even crazier, all the characters of each team can be controlled separately by different gamers in one of the online modes, leading to 6-player madness.

Aside from the local and online battle types, there’s a Story Mode to sink your teeth into a mysterious narrative following the Super Warriors all becoming unconscious at the same time. It features a newly created character called Android 21, whose role in the predicament at hand is unknown. You can be sure that the cutscenes to follow the action are gloriously recreated to the same high standard you’d expect from the anime.

Should you wish to perform a Kamehameha, Wolf Fang Fist, or Tri-Beam on the battlefield, you can purchase Dragon Ball FighterZ on the Microsoft Store for Xbox One at a price of £49.99. You can also grab the FighterZ Edition including the Season Pass for £74.99 or the Ultimate Edition for a cool £102.49 – you do get more Stamps and Fighters for that money though.

Alternatively, the FighterZ Pass can be grabbed as a £29.99 standalone purchase, whilst an early unlock of SSGSS Goku and SSGSS Vegeta will set you back £2.39. Hell, the DLC additions don’t stop there either as should you wish to show off with lobby avatars, then a further £1.99 purchase is required.

The game is also available on PlayStation 4 and PC.

Will you be heading to the world of Dragon Ball for a fast paced battle? Let us know, but if you’re unsure then hold out and wait for our full review which is in the pipeline…
