It must be said that the NASCAR Heat series has always struggled to really hammer home the excitement of the real-world NASCAR events, with the games failing to really immerse us fully into the way of life required. Much like we’ve seen with the multiple car packs that have hit the game over the last few months, this update is bringing in new paint schemes and the like, with driver changers and the full 2019 MENS schedule put in place.
It would have been gorgeous to have seen this update delivered free of charge, particularly seeing as the AAA price tag that is attached to the base game, plus the £10 odd required for anyone wishing to hop aboard with each of the other packs, sees this whole NASCAR experience fast pushing the realms of the mega-expensive. But hey, perhaps next year eh?
In the meantime, anyone wishing to keep their NASCAR experience fully up-to-date will need to splash out again, with the 2019 Season Update available right now from the usual digital stores. Should you not already have the base game to hand though, and fancy a little look at what NASCAR Heat 3 can deliver, then the NASCAR Heat 3 Ultimate Edition may well prove tempting. Priced up at £44.99, we see this bring together the base game, the 2018 Hot Pass and this new 2019 Season Update.
