It’s the middle of the month and for Xbox gamers the world over that can only mean one thing – it’s time for a new free game or two. And right now, the awesome Battlefield 3 can be grabbed for nothing.
A native Xbox 360 title, Battlefield 3 has been stripped of its price tag for the next two weeks. That means anyone with an Xbox Live Gold membership can take advantage of the generosity of those at Microsoft HQ, and will now get the chance to head into a great shooter. The fact that the game can be played and enjoyed over on Xbox One, thanks to the Xbox Backwards Compatible feature is just another plus.
So, with a decent story that ensured it was one of the last great shooters of the previous generation of gaming, and a tight multiplayer aspect which oozes quality, then Battlefield 3 is well worth a play – especially now that it is free. The issue however centres around exactly how many gamers will bother heading back to a game that has obviously aged, and will quite possibly be frowned upon by those who are now used to the stunning shooting experiences found in the likes of Battlefield 1.
But should you be looking for a new shooter, and haven’t played Battlefield 3, then now is your chance. Get over to the Xbox Games Store and pick it up now.
