Haimrik to bring cartoon humour and violence to Xbox One, PS4 and PC this Autumn

-

Are you bored of the usual action adventure games to hit your console? Do you need something a little different? Haimrik promises ‘different’.

1C and developer, Below The Game, have today announced that Haimrik will be coming to Xbox One and PS4 this Autumn, alongside a PC release on Steam and other digital stores. It promises to bring a funny but dangerous adventure as you make your way through a monochrome game world filled with blood.

A unique action adventure title, you will become Haimrik, a young scribe trying to make a living in a medieval town full of warriors, sorcerers, dragons and dragon-riding sorcerer-warriors. The problem is, one simple book has changed his entire life. With the help of Masamba, a hungry lioness who will protect him while constantly trying to eat him, Haimrik will need to venture out to take on the evil king and his elite generals, the Word Warriors.

Fortunately for Haimrik he commands the Power of the Words. These are the stones that are found as he ventures forward, bringing them to life as he steps on each one, willingly or not. Haimrik will need to activate the right words to defeat the various enemies that challenge him across numerous Word Worlds, with new puzzles appearing constantly throughout the game. But it won’t be easy and you should expect to see Haimrik die many horrific deaths, leaving pools of red blood contrasting with the otherwise plain sepia-toned world.

Features include:

  • Unique action adventure built upon interactive words.
  • Medieval comedy full of dark humor and over-the-top cartoon violence.
  • Rare sepia-toned view of a medieval fantasy world.
  • Eccentric characters to meet and adventure with, like the lioness Masamba who will protect Haimrik from harm… when she’s not trying to eat him.

If you like dark humor and unique gameplay, then Haimrik will appeal to you. Once that confirmed release date is with us, we’ll let you know, but you could do worse than check out the Gamescom trailer below.

I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
