Created by the new Swedish development team at Pixadome, and having the publishing rights handled by Zordix Publishing, Hayfever is getting set to provide some precision platforming perfection to Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC this year, with a Q1 2020 release window now confirmed.
Announced with a full trailer back in July, Hayfever is a fast-paced 2D platformer that deals with its tongue firmly in cheek, and its nose constantly running. Revolving around the life of a cute little postman – Thomas – you’ll need to help this little guy deliver his mail, with 240 letters scattered across 140 perilous levels. The problem is, Thomas has been hit by a bout of hayfever.
Hayfever’s spikes are nasty whether you’re allergic to them or not, however not all allergies are bad, as Thomas’ sneezes can propel him through the air. See, whilst other heroes may double-jump, Thomas can sneeze himself high into the air so long as there’s pollen around. And if you think the problems stop with the pollen, you
In amongst the madness of Hayfever, you’ll find yourself dodging giant bees, mischievous scarecrows and attemptng to cope with mazes lined with spikes.
Designed to be a challenge for all, Hayfever also offers extra goals for those who don’t turn up their nose at a challenge. It’s one thing to sneeze your way through Hayfever’s four seasons of levels and another thing entirely to collect every last lost letter on the way. Who knows, maybe there’s some secret rewards waiting for the most diligent of postal workers?
And whilst this may all seem simple enough to the hardcore gamer, the mark of a good delivery person is punctuality, and Hayfever has been built for speedrunning – experienced players will be able to master Thomas’s allergies and zip to victory on a cloud of pollen.
Features of Hayfever include:
