Fancy heading off to Mars? It may sound like an exiting prospect but when you’re the lone survivor of an underground city, the excitement quickly turns to fear.
And that is exactly what you’ll be finding in Subterrain, one of the latest games to hit Xbox One. Priced at £13.59, Subterrain puts you in the shoes of Dr. West, trying to survive against all odds, fighting off not just your own bodily urges, but the horrors that are found on the red planet itself.
There are however plenty of chances to craft, customise, create and explore the randomly generated levels and locations that make up Subterrain. It is here where you’ll find clues as to what has happened, all told via a non-linear story and experiences – whether you want to actually find out why the horror has taken hold is another matter though!

Recently, Dr. Albert West has migrated to MPO at the personal invitation of Mr. Murray. West has been working on a cure for Alzheimer’s disease in a race to save his wife, Jennifer, from dementia. His efforts are cut short; a lab accident leads to an accusation of murder and a prompt prison sentence. We join Dr. West a little over a year into his prison sentence. It’s been a week since the guards mysteriously vanished. Dr. West is about to find out why.
