You probably know all about Kalypso Media, if only because of the brilliant Tropico series, and Tropico 6 especially. Well, you’re soon going to be hearing even more of them as combined with the development team at Realmforge Studio, they have announced a new space station management sim for Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC – Spacebase Startopia!
An all-new take on the 2001 cult classic, Spacebase Startopia has today been revealed at Gamescom 2019, with a teaser trailer giving a first insight into what the game will be bringing to Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC when it enters orbit come Q3 2020.
In Spacebase Startopia, you’ll get the chance to manage your very own space station, maintaining three unique deck types, accommodating eight different alien races and defending against enemy invaders. if that doesn’t sound busy enough, then you’ll also need to contend with the station’s sharp-witted and sarcastic narrator AI, VAL.
Spacebase Startopia will give you the opportunity to take on the final frontier and create the best trade and tourist destination in the galaxy, either in a challenging single player campaign and via the versatile battle mode. Further to that, you can link up with up to four friends/frenemies in competitive and cooperative multiplayer modes.
