Video games aren’t all about violence and death. Occasionally – very occasionally – one rocks up to provide a different outlook on life, able to run as a no-death platforming experience. Himno is one of those games, and it’s out now on Xbox One, PS4 and PS Vita.

Coming from the team at Ratalaika Games, they of cheap and cheerful game publishing fame, Himno on Xbox One prefers to run itself along the lines of non-violent adventuring as you get the chance to jump, wall-slide, dash and parkour your way through a multitude of maps.

The aim of Himno on Xbox One is to gather up and rescue some lost wisps, seeing them brighten up your surroundings and delivering upgrade-able abilities in the process. But every action you take will see the randomly generated world around you evolve, with immersive soundtracks and deep, vibrant visuals drawing you in.

A price of £4.99 sits slap-bang in the middle of what Ratalaika Games have delivered previously with the likes of Mochi Mochi Boy or the brilliant Sagebrush, and that in itself should ensure that a download of Himno on Xbox One is a tempting proposition – particularly if you like to game in your own time, working your way through a new journey with little pressure.

Features include:

  • * Your actions in the world trigger emotional soundtracks and vibrant visuals
  • * Play at your own pace without pressure
  • * Watch bright wisps dance around you
  • * Enjoyable by a wide variety of player skill

If you wish to see what Ratalaika have to offer with the release of Himno on Xbox One then the Xbox Store will sort you out. PS4 and PS Vita players can also get in on the action whilst those on Nintendo Switch will have to hold on until the 6th Sept.

Game Description:

Himno is a non-violent, no death platformer. Use wall-jumps, slides & dashes to reach new heights in randomly generated maps! Using intuitive and easy to learn controls, parkour through each map to overcome platforming challenges to reach new districts. Level up as new heights are reached, bringing vibrant lights as torches are ignited and the music begins to change. Rescue wisps to light up the darkness around you, while temporarily upgrading abilities that allow you to move further to other districts.
