The original Insurgency formula has seen millions of sales. Now though it’s ready to expand and Insurgency: Sandstorm will take the series into a new era – an era that includes Xbox One and PS4.
Revealed today with the teaser trailer that you can see below, Insurgency: Sandstorm will take everything that gamers know and love, before enhancing and expanding the FPS with UnrealEngine 4, upgraded visuals, extended gameplay options, improved immersion and new co-op and versus objective modes. You can be sure that it will retain all the tactical action that has made Insurgency the worldwide hit that it is!
Placing you in the middle of large scale 16 v 16 skimirshes with artillery barrages, helicopter gunships, repurposed commercial drones, air strikes, and drivable land transport vehicles, Sandstorm will blur the lines between reality and shooter as split second decisions will mean life or death for you and your team.
There will be weapons too – quite obviously – and each will have unique ballistic calculations that take into account things like bullet drop and penetration power. Choose whether to drop magazines for faster reloads in dangerous situations, carefully open doors to keep quiet, or bash doors down with a shoulder charge, and much more.
Expansive maps, interiors to breach and objectives to hit are just the start of the action and with play areas adjusting for each game mode, a co-op option for when you want to battle bots, and the rewards that teamwork bring allowing for personal success, rankings and more, Insurgency: Sandstorm should be one to keep an eye on.
