Let the card battling commence as Monster Slayers is announced for Xbox One, PS4 and PS Vita

-

If you have an ear to the PC ground, then you’ll know all about Monster Slayers. The card-based battler hit Steam in 2017 and has proven to be a bit of a hit. Now though it’s time for the battle to commence on console and today Digerati and Nerdook Productions have announced it’ll be arriving on Xbox One, PS4 and PS Vita.

Due to arrive in Spring 2018 – with the exact release date still to be totally confirmed – if you like a bit of card action, and want to slay some monsters, then Monster Slayers is the game for you.

A rogue-like deck-builder that brings many RPG elements along for the ride, this adventure delivers an innovative card-based battle system that lets you customize a deck to suit your play style. You’ll be found creating heroes as you join the Monster Slayers Guild and choose your path through the perilous Northern Valley. Should you be able to follow your quest, and defeat the legendary Harbinger, then you’ll become a true Monster Slayer.

Key features of Monster Slayers include:

  • Battle undead goblins, lion outlaws, mighty dragons and other monstrous foes using a unique card-based combat system
  • Strategically shape your deck as you acquire new cards from merchants, treasure chests, and allies
  • Collect fame from each run to unlock new abilities that can be used by future heroes
  • Every playthrough is different: levels, enemy encounters and loot are randomly generated
  • 12 different character classes to choose from: Rogue, Ranger, Knight, Barbarian, Cleric, Wizard, Assassin, Beastmaster, Apothecary, Brute, Monk, and Necromancer
Recruit companions to join you on your quest and make use of their special abilities
  • Equip your hero with stat-boosting loot to improve the chances of victory
  • Beat the game to unlock the ultimate challenge: Legendary Mode
  • Inspired by the much-loved deck-building RPG, Dream Quest, created by Peter Whalen (Hearthstone)

As is now standard, there’s a little trailer right below. We urge you to give it a watch whilst you wait for the full release to roll around.
