The majestic Imperial set drops on to Chess Ultra on Xbox One

by Neil Watton (neil363)October 20, 2017

If you’re looking for a bit of majestic flair to add to your Chess Ultra experience, then the latest DLC pack to arrive for the game on Xbox One will pretty much have you sorted.

Granted, a new set of pieces for chess isn’t the most exciting DLC ever to drop on to the Microsoft Store, but this content certainly brings a bit of bling to proceedings and will no doubt appeal to those chess players who just have to have the best looking kit.

But what does it bring? Well, the Chess Ultra Imperial Chess Set contains two new designs. The Ruby and Emerald set brings polished gold and the finest gemstones, whilst the Platinum and Onyx set delivers gunmetal pieces and elegance as standard.

If you’re looking to make a statement with your chess game – and either don’t have the skills to match or just need a bit of a helping hand in the visual department – then you’ll be able to grab the Imperial set for £7.99 from the Microsoft Store right now.

Make sure you check out our full review of Chess Ultra on Xbox One too.

Make a statement with this exquisite chess set for Chess Ultra.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch’s Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360’s life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One. A massive racing fan, Forza 4 was the daddy of all Xbox titles but Forza Horizon 3 now trumps that. Online first person shooters are my hell….probably because my reactions are so poor, but give me a little Indie title and I’ll be in heaven.
