With KEMCO having launched a whole host of brilliant adventures to console over the last few weeks and months, it’s exciting to see yet another hit home. Especially when this one seems to be just a little different to the rest.
It is Marenian Tavern Story: Patty and the Hungry God which places you in the shoes of Patty as her brother is possessed by the God of Poverty. Money worries hit the family and it is left to young Patty to open up a tavern in Marenia, cooking up a storm and appeasing the gods.
But this is a game unlike other KEMCO titles in which defeating monsters does not guarantee a levelling up process. Instead, eating food is the way to go, with some dishes enabling status up effects, whilst others bring an increase in resistance. By creating more than 600 dishes your journey through the Marenian Tavern Story will progress, allowing the chance to train your characters, conquer new dungeons and get access to even more ingredients – seeing the circle complete and you sent off to enhance Patty’s life further.
Should you wish to take a break from the humdrum of the kitchen though, Marenian Tavern Story will let you go fishing, collect vegetables from farm runs, or even just to kick back and run your tavern the way you wish. Time will slowly tick by, so spending some relaxing moments is most definitely something to consider.
