Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite Story Demo arrives as new playable characters confirmed

-

Can’t wait until the full release of Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite arrives in September? How about you check out the new story demo? It’s free!

Capcom have now released a standalone playable story demo for Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite on both Xbox One and PS4. If you need a sneaky little peek into what Infinite will provide when it releases come September 19th 2017, then this is your best bet. The fact that it is free means you may as well give it a little shot!

The demo (and the full game for that matter) promises to bring a thrilling experience as it puts players at the centre of a fierce battle as heroes from both universes come together to stop Ultron Sigma, the combined form of the robotic villains Ultron and Sigma, from infecting all biological life on the newly-merged Marvel and Capcom worlds. The future of their universe is hanging in the balance, and the heroes must seek aid from the Mad Titan Thanos, the most powerful villain in the Marvel Universe. The thing is… can they trust him?

Additionally, to complement the arrival of the demo, further Marvel and Capcom characters have joined forces, with all of the following set to be in place once the game arrives…

Marvel

  • Thanos
  • Gamora
  • Nova
  • Strange

Capcom

  • Dante
  • Spencer
  • Zero
  • Arthur

Each of the above, including newcomer Gamora, will feature unique abilities and iconic special moves as they join the 14 other previously announced characters to battle together in an attempt to overthrow the devastating new threat.

You’ll find that all of the action in Infinite will take place in new but familiar settings, as famous locations from the Marvel and Capcom universes merge together. These include areas such as “Knowmoon,” a combination of the celestial outpost Knowhere from the Marvel Universe and Third Moon from the Strider series, “Xgard,” a mixture of Thor’s homeland Asgard and Abel City from the Mega Man X series, and many more.

Marvel vs Capcom Infinite promises to feature free-form 2v2 team battles integrated into a wide variety of exciting and accessible single player modes. You should also expect a ton of rich multiplayer content for both new players and longtime fans alike. This will come in the form of a compelling cinematic story experience, single player Arcade, Training and Mission modes plus vast multiplayer offerings which will provide further memorable experiences and infinite gameplay possibilities for players of all skill levels.

If you’re a fan of Marvel, a fan of Capcom or just like a bit of button mashing combat, then Marvel vs Capcom Infinite should be for you. Make sure you check out that demo right now and then hold tight for the full release later in the year.
